Former Wildwood Mayor Admits To Healthcare Fraud, NJ Attorney General Says
A former mayor of Wildwood admitted to his role in a healthcare fraud scheme that stole more than $600,000 in government funds, authorities said. Peter Byron, 68, pleaded guilty to three charges on Friday, Sept. 27, Attorney General Matthew Platkin said in a news release on Monday, Sept. 30. Byron resigned as mayor in September 2023 after he was indicted in the case. A 26-year-old Douglassville man was identified as the person who died in a single-vehicle motorcycle crash in Delaware, according to authorities. Taylor Guyer, 26, of Douglassville, was identified by Delaware State Police as the victim of the fatal crash that happened on Interstate 95 South in New Castle County, Delaware on Sunday, Sept. 22. Guyer was riding a Honda CBR 1000RR motorcycle on I-95 just north of Basin Road in New Castle when the crash happened, according to police. Car Carrier Catches Fire On Rt 283 In Dauphin County (

A car carrier caught fire on Route 283 on Monday morning, Sept. 30, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation. The call to fire came into the Dauphin County Department of Public Safety at 8:03 a.m. Fire crews responded to a tractor fire on Route 283 East at the Middletown Road Exit in Dauphin County Monday morning. There was a lane restriction in the area. The tractor of the car carry was hollowed out by the fire, as seen in PennDOT's 511PA traffic cameras. No injuries have been reported at the time of publishing.
